Perfect Cocktails To Sweeten Up Your Valentine

Whether you're celebrating with your special someone at home or hosting a Valentine's Day party with your closest friends, here are three festive cocktails you'll need if you're looking to mix things up with something other than champagne this year. Cheers!

Knob Creek® Rye Black Hawk

Ingredients:
2 parts Knob Creek
® Rye Whiskey
1 part DeKuyper
® Sloe Gin
1 Maraschino Cherry, for garnish

Procedures:
In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine the whiskey and gin. Stir and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with the cherry.

Cruzan® Crush
(Single serving)

Ingredients:
1 part Cruzan
® Vanilla Rum
1 part Cruzan
® Aged Dark Rum
1 1/2 parts Pineapple Juice
3/4 parts Lemon Juice
3/4 parts Apricot Simple Syrup*
Fresh Mint and Thyme

Procedures:
Combine lemon juice, apricot simple syrup and pineapple juice into a shaker. Lightly smack 3 mint leaves and drop into the shaker along with 1 stem of thyme and muddle softly. Add rums, ice, and stir. Pour over crushed ice in a tiki glass. Garnish with fresh mint and thyme.

Basil Hayden's® Blushing Pear

Ingredients:
1 1/2 parts Basil Hayden's
® Bourbon
1/2 part Tawny Port
3/4 part Simple Syrup
3/4 part Lemon Juice
5 Pear Slices (2 for garnish)
2 Rosemary Sprigs

Procedures:
Add 3 pear slices and 1 sprig of rosemary to a cocktail shaker and muddle, combine all remaining ingredients in the cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled rocks glass with ice, and garnish with a sprig of rosemary and 2 pear slices.
