Celebrate Spring's Arrival with Fresh Grapefruit Juice Cocktails

Now that Spring is near, a good way to celebrate the surprisingly nice weather is with these three cocktails. All drinks are delicious and a wonderful twist on classic cocktails, allowing the fresh taste of Grapefruit to always shine. Enjoy!

The Marguerite

A modern ode to the classic margarita and old-fashioned, The Marguerite is the ultimate cocktail merger. The rich spicy flavor of the 1800 Reposado, along with the refreshing citrus create an updated twist on this traditional cocktail.

Ingredients:
1.5 oz. 1800 Reposado
1 oz. Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Juice
0.5 oz. Fino Sherry
0.5 oz. Maraschino Liqueur

Procedures:
1. Shake with ice and strain into an ice-filled Old Fashioned glass.

2. Top with soda water and garnish with a grapefruit twist.

Alameda Aperitif

The classic Aperitif with Hangar 1 Straight, the perfectly balance straight vodka with fresh and slighting floral notes, brings out the true flavors in each of the ingredients of this cocktail.

Ingredients:
1 oz Hangar 1 Straight Vodka
1 oz Fresh grapefruit juice
1 oz Unti Rose
1/2 oz Bianco Vermouth
1 oz seltzer water

Procedures:
Build over ice in wine glass.

Salted Negroni

Cool, refreshing, seaside adaptation of a classic gin cocktail. Grapefruit is a perfect pairing for Boodles Gin, allowing for the botanical and citrus notes of the gin to lead.

Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Boodles Gin
0.75 oz. Sweet Vermouth
0.75 oz. Campari
1 oz. Grapefruit Juice
2 oz. Soda Water
Sea Salt

Procedures:
1. Quickly shake gin, vermouth, bitter liqueur, grapefruit juice and a small pinch of sea salt.

2. Strain in Collins glass over ice and 2 oz soda water.

3. Add another small pinch of sea salt and garnish with long grapefruit peel.
