Bohemia & Indio: Un par fino de las cervezas

By FBWorld Team

When it comes to Mexican Beers, what springs to mind for most of us? Maybe Carona and Dos Equis or another brand with regular TV spots? If that's the case for you, we want to take this opportunity to highlight two national brands that may have flown under your radar. Bohemia is a pilsner that's bright and very drinkable, and Indio is a smooth, slightly sweet larger made with caramel malts.

Bohemia - Brewed by Cervecreia Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma

Nose:
Malty with low hops
Light citrus

Taste:
Light Malty sweetness
Crisp initial taste with a lingering slightly bitter after taste

When to Drink:
With lighter Mexican food and warm summer weather
If you want something with a bit more body and depth than many standard Mexican pilsners

Indio - Brewed by Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma

Nose:
Caramel malts

Taste:
Malty sweetness with caramel
No lingering aftertaste

When to Drink:
It would be interesting to pair with a Mexican dish like Chicken Mole that has a somewhat sweet note
If you're looking for an approachable, sweeter deviation from a traditional lager
