Summer Cocktails Perfect to Pair with Oysters

Blue Points, Kumamotos or Malpeques? Oysters are everyone's favorite aphrodisiac. And what better way to cool off during hot summer days than to slurp down a half shell paired with a cool cocktail. So shuck a few of your favorite oysters, grab a glass, and enjoy this two wonderful sips.


Sazerac

This classic cocktail makes a pearl of a pair!

Ingredients:
1/4 oz. Lucid Absinthe
2 oz. Pendleton 1910 Canadian Rye Whiskey
3 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
Lemon peel for garnish

Procedures:
1. Add all liquid ingredients into a shaker with ice.

2. Shake and strain into a rocks glass with ice.

3. Rim the glass with the lemon peel, twist over the surface and garnish.


Cliffdiver

Paired with fresh oysters, this cocktail makes a splash!

Ingredients:
1 1/4 oz. CAMUS VSOP Elegance Cognac
1/2 oz. Ginger Liqueur
1 oz. apple juice
3/4 oz. Lime Juice
3/4 oz. Simple Syrup
Granny smith apple and fresh ginger slices for garnish

Procedures:
1. Shake all ingredients together and pour over ice cubes.

2. Garnish with slices of granny smith apple and a sliver of ginger.
