Mallorcan
Wine With A History From Bodega De Macia Batle
The
winemaking tradition on the island of Mallorca began
with the arrival of the Romans in 123 B.C. and has
lasted to the present era. Hundreds of hectares currently
used as vineyards for native grape varieties stand
to show the excellent work of Majorcan grape-growers.

Novato
By
Carol & Joe Davis — Dining Detectives
We
love Italian Cuisine and are continually amazed
that there are so many unique offerings at Italian Restaurants
in The Bay Area. We had heard that East Coast Restaurateur
Jon Paul Pirraglia had recently opened Tavola
Italian Kitchen in Novato and knew we had to
taste.

Let's
preface this review by saying we really,
really liked Dripping Springs
Vodka. It was one of the most
interesting and smoothest super premium

Iceland
seems to be a land of contradictions. You would just

Notes of vanilla, honey, gram-cracker and pineapple
mingle with suggestions of perfume on the nose.
A sip reveals flavors of pear and pineapple,
as well as springtime floral notes and a hint
of toasty oak. A wine that has a refreshing
acidity and a somewhat usual flavors profile,
it's for fans of somewhat unorthodox Chardonnay.

Charles
R Vineyards Zinfandel 2007
Blackberry and cherry aromas lead off on the
nose. The palate offers flavors of cherry, blackberry,
and blueberry with accents of black licorice,
musty oak, and hints of spice. A lighter Zin,
without much pepper, it's for fans for easy
going reds.. . .
